If you’re still on the fence, if you are still thinking about it, I urge you to invest in yourself and reach out to me or Steve – we will find a way of squeezing you in. Not because we like to give ourselves more work, but because we believe in the power of Pro Mobile conference. It really is a game changer.

My parents would drag me to whatever local entertainment happened to be on and I’d happily sip on a Panda Pop, dancing and playing with the other kids while the DJ boomed out another 90s classic. We’d dance until shattered, then fall asleep in the corner on some comfy chairs until our parents took us home.

With over 250,000 weddings held in the UK each year, people getting married provides a huge amount of work for mobile DJs. Even if your strategy is to avoid doing them, at some point you will get dragged into it. Personally, I love them. So much so that I’ve performed at nearly 2000 weddings over 40 years.

Bringing two music styles that have a similar sound together can make for some interesting DJ sets. I’ve recently played at events where the clients have requested a mix of music that included pop and modern folk. The idea was that the pop tracks would appeal to the younger guests, so they wanted me to play that earlier in the evening, and then move on to modern folk and take the tempo up to the end of the party.
