The latest equipment release from popular mobile gear brand Kam is the LED Powerbar, which builds on the innovative concept of the award-winning LED Parbar. The new Powerbar incorporates four slim-line LED Par Cans on a compact and easy to setup bar, just like the Parbar, but each of the new product’s cans is equip with seven 3w tri-colour LEDs. According to Kam’s promotional material the light output from the Powerbar is 375% brighter than the original Parbar, which itself was a room-filling effect.

The nominations for the 2010 BRIT Awards were revealed last night at the O2 Arena during a party hosted by Radio 1 presenter Fearne Cotton. There are many artists with three award nominations, including Lady Gaga, Lily Allen, Pixie Lott, Florence and the Machine and JLS. The nominees for best international male include a couple of surprises, with Bruce Springsteen (perhaps due to his Glastonbury headline slot last year) and Seasick Steve joining more obvious choices Jay-Z and Michael Buble in the list.

Ibiza looks set to continue to grow in popularity as a holiday destination, according to the findings of a recent survey conducted by Ibiza holiday guide website Love Ibiza. In a survey of clubbers who had visited Ibiza in 2009 for holidays and working holidays, 45% were visiting Ibiza for the first time and 96% of respondents said that they would be returning to Ibiza for future holidays, meanwhile 78% intend to return to Ibiza for their summer holidays in 2010.

Band Aid 20's 'Do They Know It's Christmas' is the most successful festive song of the last decade, according to the Official Charts Company. The charity song, which featured artists including Bono, Dido, Robbie Williams and Estelle, spent four weeks at No. 1 in 2004 and sold a total of 1.1 million copies. The original Band Aid single, organised by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise money for famine relief in Ethiopia, sold over a million copies in its first week of release in 1984.
