BPM 2009 A Resounding Success
The BPM DJ event earlier this month (3rd and 4th October) at the Birmingham NEC attracted record numbers, and has been hailed by organisers as a resounding success. Visitor numbers went up by 50% from last year, with a total of 3897 DJs attending the event over the weekend. Attendees came from all corners of the UK, with some making the trip from mainland Europe and even further afield!

Next year's BPM has already been booked in the diary, and will take place from Saturday 2nd October to Monday 4th October – an extra day due to the popularity of this year's event, perfect for full-time mobile DJs who can’t make a weekend show.

Thousands of DJs – amateur and professional – came together to try out the latest equipment from all the top manufacturers, network with music industry figures, and learn more about DJ culture from the experts hosting panel events and seminars. The seminars covered all aspects of DJing as a career, while the panel presentations covered topics as wide-ranging as music production, promoting, getting into club DJing and making a living as a mobile DJ.

BPM has now firmly established itself as an essential part of the European DJ calendar. In order to plan for the 2010 BPM, the organisers are carrying out a visitor's survey which they hope as many people as possible will complete. The survey can be accessed at: www.visitbpm.co.uk/feedback
