Four New LED Lighting Effects from Acme
Prolight Concepts have recently increased their Acme range of LED powered lighting with the launch of four new effects. The Acme Fury, Rage, Radiant and Matrix all use different combinations of lenses and LEDs to create a variety of distinctly different, but equally impressive, effects.
The Fury, Rage and Radiant each split the light from ultra bright 10W high powered tri-colour LEDs through a different arrangement of angled lens to generate room-filling masses of beams. Fourteen lenses arranged in two rows are utilised by the Fury to generate an impressive collection of very bright beams of light that move and change colour to the beat of the music. The Rage splits the same light over 28 separate lenses to create even more individual beams of light to fill a dance-floor with colour and movement. Finally, the Radiant features an array of 40 lenses and a unique ‘wave’ motion that generates an effect that is obviously different, but just as good at filling a room with energy and light. Meanwhile, the Matrix projects a 16 x 16 array of red, green, blue and white LEDs that are used by the unit’s internal programmes to create scanning, rotating, rolling and zooming animated patterns.
All of the new units feature IEC mains input as well as output connections, which means that multiple effects can be powered from a single power cable run. They all feature internal pre-programmed patterns for ‘plug-and-play’ operation, but are all also compatible with DMX control as well as Acme’s easy to use CA-8 remote. Look out for a full review of all of these new effects in issue 38 (November / December 2009) of Pro Mobile.
