BPM Set To Return In October
Following the liquidation of Marked Events Ltd, the GIG show planned as a replacement for BPM | PRO at the Genting Arena this October has been cancelled. However, Pete Williams, owner of Mobile DJ Network, is now organising a new show under the BPM name at Cranmore Park Conference & Exhibition Centre in Solihull on the same weekend.
Taking place on Saturday the 20th and Sunday the 21st of October, the new BPM promises to go back to the original event’s roots as a dedicated DJ show. Pete’s vision is to keep the best of BPM, while
breathing new life into it with fresh concepts and making changes to secure the show’s future success.
“I have been going to BPM as a DJ and then Exhibitor for many years,” explains Pete. “I am keen to return the show to its former glory, and the support I’ve had from both Exhibitors and Visitors after announcing this concept has been phenomenal.”
The new BPM hopes to offer everything a DJ could want from an exhibition. The two days will include product launches, the latest lighting and sound equipment on display, many hands-on demonstrations allowing visitors to try before they buy and free educational content to help DJs improve what they do.
BPM 2018 will spread across two floors of Cranmore Park. The ground floor will hold the main exhibition in a suite of 2400sq.m, while a further ground floor suite will host the Sound Experience, where visitors can listen to and compare sound systems from major manufacturers side-by-side. On the first floor, a range of suites will offer seminars and workshops on a variety of topics including business improvement, self-motivation, techniques for improving sound quality and DMX control of lighting.
The show is planned to offer a wide range of products and training for mobile DJs, club DJs, karaoke hosts and even hobbyists who never perform outside their bedroom. Exhibitors confirmed so far include ADJ, CD Pool, dB Technologies, DJ Event Planner, djkit, Equinox (Prolight Concepts Group), FBT, Flightcase Warehouse, Gemini DJ, Laserworld, LED Factory, Novopro, Pioneer DJ, QSC, Selfie Wizard and Vibo. Pro Mobile will also have a stand, allowing the magazine team to meet with existing readers and hopefully sign up a few new DJs!
Advanced tickets are on sale now priced at just £5 per person and include entry to both days of the show as well as all workshops and seminars (£10 on the door).
