Pioneer DJ has announced the launch of the XDJ-1000MK2, an upgrade to the brand’s popular USB-only multiplayer, the XDJ-1000. For the new version, even more features are inherited from Pioneer DJ’s flagship CDJ-2000NXS2, including its 7-inch full-colour high-resolution touch screen and support for playing high-quality FLAC and ALAC files.
The new player makes quickly finding the perfect track to play next easy thanks to Track Filter and the new Matching feature, which was introduced with the latest update to Pioneer DJ’s rekordbox music management software, version 4.2.1.
The XDJ-1000MK2 also retains key features from its predecessor, including the QWERTY touch-screen keyboard for keyword searches, and the large rotary dial for scrolling. Plus, you can colour-code your USB devices and the illuminated USB port will reflect that colour, so you instantly know what’s on each device.
To add even more creativity and variety to your performances, you can connect the DDJ-SP1 controller (sold separately) and use its large Performance Pads for tactile control of many of the new or improved features on the XDJ-1000MK2, including its eight Hot Cues.
The XDJ-1000MK2 will be available from September with an SSP of €1,299 including VAT (around £1,099).
