Full Programme for Sunday's NADJ Conference & AGM!
The NADJ Conference & AGM 2015 will take place this weekend (Sunday the 26th of April) at the National Glass Centre in Sunderland (note the change of venue), giving both NADJ members and non-members the chance to enjoy educational content, networking opportunities and product demonstrations. The conference kicks off at 10:30am with free hot drinks before an official welcome at 11:00.
In addition to the seminar by Andy Pickles, entitled If You Can Have Three Number One Hits with a Rabbit from Rotherham, Anything is Possible! (reported on previously on the Pro Mobile site), NADJ has confirmed three further seminars.
Former NADJ Chairman Paul Arnett will present a brand new seminar entitled Ten Things You Can Do Right Now, which will give mobile DJs in attendance plenty of practical ideas and top tips that they can apply quickly to their businesses. Paul will look at everything from equipment to finances, covering various topics and offering ten simple but effective ideas that can be used by both beginners and seasoned pros!
Roger Squire, industry legend and recent recipient of the Pro Mobile Lifetime Achievement Award, will also be presenting a seminar at the conference. DJ Entertainment Trends over the Years and Techniques to Boost Your Recommendation Rates will focus on the changing nature of the mobile disco industry and the new forms of entertainment that mobile DJs have to compete with. Having coined the term mobile discotheque back in the 1960s and, at the peak of his career, handled over 3000 events a year, Roger will use his experience and unique perspective to offer attendees plenty of useful advice.
Completing the line-up, micro-business specialist Tina Boden will present a seminar titled Whats Getting You in a Business Spin? as she helps DJs to find solutions for the problems they face in the day to day running of their businesses, from customer service to social media. Tina is one of the UKs leading voices for small businesses and the co-founder of the Enterprise Rockers.
In addition to these seminars, an assortment of manufacturers, including Prolight Concepts, Chauvet DJ and Lighting Resources, will be demonstrating their latest mobile DJ-relevant gear. The Pro Mobile team will also be taking along our mobile book store, which offers a range of titles perfect for mobile DJs interested in a undertaking a little extra self-improvement!
