Exciting Changes Announced for BPM and PRO 2016!
As BPM prepares to celebrate a landmark tenth show, Marked Events – the organisers of BPM and PRO – has today (25th of February) announced a number of exciting new changes for 2016, giving mobile DJs plenty to look forward to come September…
Following the teaser #changeiscoming at the 2015 event, Marked Events has revealed a series of changes set to make 2016 a big year for both BPM and PRO: the two shows will be fused together to create one event called BPM | PRO, which will take place inside a new venue and include new features. Although still running in September, the event will also be given one-day date shift, to help strike a balance between the needs of consumers and trade professionals.
Taking place at the Genting Arena (opposite the newly opened Resorts World) within the NEC complex, BPM | PRO will allow visitors to enjoy the event across two distinct area, one focussed on DJ & Studio and the other Sound & Lighting. Aside from giving the show a fresh new feel, this more focussed approach will allow mobile DJs to see a wider selection of gear, by enabling exhibitors to showcase a more expansive range of unique cross-market products.
“Even from day one we have never been afraid to stick our necks out and challenge the way the industry thinks about events,” said Event Director Mark Walsh. “BPM has been a raging success and is one of the few shows globally that has grown and survived the recession. There is such a good feeling in the industry right now and I feel the changes we are implementing will offer a fresh show that appeals to our audiences.”
He added: “We weren’t lying when we said #changeiscoming! There is a lot to take in but if you stand still you don’t get anywhere. All our announcements follow extensive research and listening to the industry we serve. We are really looking forward to delivering the next generation of event in September 2016.”
Running from Sunday the 11th to Tuesday the 13th of September, BPM | PRO’s DJ & Studio hall will open for two days (11-12th of September) while the Sound & Lighting halls will open for an additional day (13th of September). As always, Pro Mobile will be there across all three days of the show, hosting the mobile DJ area of the show, building on last year’s tremendous success with more engaging content and networking opportunities for DJs.
Tickets for BPM | PRO will be available from May 2016.
