Chauvet Calls On Mobile DJs for Halloween Scream Test!
The CHAUVET DJ marketing team is on the look-out for candidates to take part in its annual Halloween Scream Test, a contest that gives DJs a chance to star in their very own Halloween horror flick!
Mobile DJs are encouraged to take a photo or video clip of themselves (the creepier the better!) and send it to CHAUVET DJ, who will use the three scariest entries as part of its 2015 Chauvet Halloween video. All three winners will have their names included in the credits, as well as receiving one of three CHAUVET DJ prizes: the Geyser RGB (first place), SlimBANK UV-18 (second place) and SlimPAR Hex 3 IRC (third place).
“We’ve done Halloween videos for the past two years and they’ve become so popular, it’s scary,” said Geoff Short, Customer Engagement Manager of CHAUVET DJ. “Our team has enjoyed doing these videos so much that we wanted to include our customers in the fun. So we’re inviting everyone to send us a photo or a video clip of themselves that’s appropriate for a Halloween video.”
Out of the photos and videos submitted, the team at CHAUVET DJ will select three and work them into the video in a range of ways – the winning photos may appear as pictures on the wall of the haunted house and videos may play on TV while scary characters plot their Halloween mischief.
“There’s no end to how we can use the photos or videos we receive,” said Short. “Our team is very creative and so are our customers, so this should be fun. We’ll select three photos and/or video clips and include them in our final production. The winners will get cool prizes and they’ll also be included in the credits at the end of the video. We’re looking forward to this contest!”
The contest is open to DJs across the globe and photo/video entries can be emailed to scream@chauvetdj.com along with the entrant’s name, email address and phone number. Entries will be judged on originality and appropriateness for inclusion in the CHAUVET DJ Halloween video, and should be no longer than one-minute in length.
“We want DJs to be creative and original, to come up with material that lends itself to being included in a video storyline, which means that it’s something that will stimulate ideas in other people,” said Short. “We urge DJs to let their imaginations run wild, but any videos that are offensive or endanger people or animals will be immediately disqualified.”
The deadline for entries is 22:00 (GMT) on Friday 21st of August and winners will be announced on Tuesday 25th via the CHAUVET DJ Facebook page. The company will also be posting the non-winning photo/video entries on its Facebook page every day in October.
Full terms and conditions can be found on the CHAUVET DJ website.
