Peavey FX2 Series Mixers Available Now
Distributor Barnes and Mullins has announced the immediate availability of Peavey’s FX2 Series of mixers in the UK. With twice the processing power of the original FX mixers, the FX2 Series have had more than just a simple facelift with innovative technological evolutions and greater capabilities in almost every area of their specification.
Available in 16, 24 and 32 channel models, FX2 mixers boast a range of features that make them excel in both studio and live situations. Silencer mic preamps produce crystal-clear signal reproduction by allowing very high gain with low noise and distortion. Four pre-fader Auxes per channel offer four monitor mixes and the built-in or outboard effects can be added using two additional post-fader Auxes.
The mixers contain a wealth of built-in effects in the form of Delay, Compression, Reverb, Chorus, Flanger, De-esser, Expander, Tube Emulator, Gate and Vocal Enhancer. Dual DSP engines mean multiple simultaneous effects can be assigned to any channel. USB ports are also included that allow users to easily record performances directly to a USB stick to be transferred to a computer.
Peavey’s clever automated EQ system ‘Feedback Ferret’ recognises and eliminates troublesome frequencies meaning feedback issues are controlled and do not become a problem even when in the hands of those with little experience of mixing live sound. An LCD screen allows for quick and simple programming, further highlighting the FX2 Series’ accessibility for casual gigging musicians as well as more hardened sound engineers and also for rental purposes.
For mobile DJs who also provide audio rental services for concerts and events, the FX2 mixers have everything needed for a great sounding audio mix, all integrated into one compact unit. The FX2 16, 24 and 32 channel mixers retail for £965, £1298 and £1533 respectively and are available now from Barnes and Mullins in the UK.
