Pioneer DJ has announced the release of its DDJ-SB2, a new entry-level controller designed for use with Serato DJ and Serato DJ Intro, building on the original DDJ-SB model by giving mobile DJs high levels of control and a range of new features.
The new two-channel DDJ-SB2 controller from Pioneer retains all the features found on the DDJ-SB, including Filter Fade, eight Performance Pads and advanced tools like iZotope FX, loops and cues. The DDJ-SB2 also features high/low pass filter on each channel, while its Filter Fade allows for one-handed control over volume and high-pass filter. Users also have access to two FX units per channel with six presets, and can combine up to three FX at once. So, mobile DJs can get more creative with their mixing, allowing them to produce special sets for audiences and guests.
In terms of brand-new features, the DDJ-SB2 adds trim pots, level metres, four-deck control and a quantized Pad Trans beat effect – all of which combine to offer users professional DJ control and seamless mixing at an affordable price.
Pioneer has ensured that the DDJ-SB2 is professionally built and designed: USB powered, MIDI compatible and fitted with aluminium jog wheels and a built-in sound card, mic input and RCA input. The new controller also supports plug-and-play usage with Serato DJ Intro (included) and Serato DJ (upgrade ready).
The DDJ-SB2 will be available from September 2015 at an SSP of £189.
