I have always loved music. My father started my interest in recording and recorded music with his possession of a reel-to-reel tape recorder, and I remember singing along to The Sound of Music, and dancing to The Nutcracker as a small girl. I got my first paid DJ gig at sixteen, through the manager of the local student radio station where I was doing work experience. A small conference that was taking place on the university site needed some entertainment in the bar after dinner, and they asked for his recommendations.

During the past 12 months, many of us have had to let go of the reins and focus on other sources of income to keep us going through the restrictions. However, there is light at the end of the tunnel and our awaited return is getting ever closer. While some of us are eagerly anticipating that first gig back, others will be dreading the work that needs to be done in preparation for our return to normal.

In the last issue of Pro Mobile I wrote about Nu Disco and the response was incredible. I received many personal messages from DJs wanting to know more, whilst others offered me their own track suggestions, and many wanted to congratulate Mastermix on the release of its Nu Disco Bundle, which includes a stunning 60-minute mix, and two un-mixed albums packed with 40 Nu Disco tracks.
