8 HIGHLIGHTS OF THE 20TH LAS VEGAS DJ SHOW

From Monday the 14th to Thursday the 17th of March hundreds of mobile DJs from across America, and indeed the world, met together in Las Vegas for the 20th annual Mobile Beat DJ show. The largest event in the world dedicated completely to mobile DJs, Mobile Beat returned this year to the home of many of its earlier shows, The Tropicana Hotel, which has recently undergone a complete renovation. Located right in the heart of the famous Las Vegas Strip the Tropicana proved to be the perfect location for DJs to learn, network, socialize and enjoy everything that Las Vegas has to offer. For the many DJs who weren’t fortunate enough to be able to make the trip out to Vegas we’ve put together 8 highlights of the show to give a flavour of what Mobile Beat 2016 had to offer...

3) Pool Party

DJ Take Over Presented by Peavey

One of the advantages of Mobile Beat’s new home is the Tropicana Beach Club, an outdoor poolside party area. This was the venue for the Monday night welcome party presented by Peavey and hosted by Keith Shocklee of Public Enemy. The four-hour party gave attendees the chance to network and socialise together - and even dance – in the warm Spring Las Vegas weather in a fantastic outdoor space. The music for the event was provided by a continuous line-up of DJs, who had applied in advance to play and each had just 20 minutes to showcase their talent. Flavor Flav from Public Enemy also made a guest appearance and a good-sized crowd stayed outside right to the very end.
