One of the most recognisable guitar riffs in music history serves as the opening bars to this ode to young love, and, not limited in appeal to only brown-eyed girls, you’ll find guests male and female, young and old, (brown-, blue-, grey and green-eyed!) taking to the dance-floor for this feel-good favourite. Despite the musician stating that he has written 300 songs that are better, ‘Brown Eyed Girl’ has received 10-million US radio plays to date and holds the record for the most download and played track from the 1960s. Pretty impressive... though we can’t say we were surprised to see the Northern Irish rocker this high on the list! It’s fair to say it wouldn’t really be complete without him.
