8 HIGHLIGHTS OF THE 20TH LAS VEGAS DJ SHOW

From Monday the 14th to Thursday the 17th of March hundreds of mobile DJs from across America, and indeed the world, met together in Las Vegas for the 20th annual Mobile Beat DJ show. The largest event in the world dedicated completely to mobile DJs, Mobile Beat returned this year to the home of many of its earlier shows, The Tropicana Hotel, which has recently undergone a complete renovation. Located right in the heart of the famous Las Vegas Strip the Tropicana proved to be the perfect location for DJs to learn, network, socialize and enjoy everything that Las Vegas has to offer. For the many DJs who weren’t fortunate enough to be able to make the trip out to Vegas we’ve put together 8 highlights of the show to give a flavour of what Mobile Beat 2016 had to offer...

‘Answer, Handle and Prevent Objections’ – John Beck

DJs visit Mobile Beat from across the world and this year attendees had traveled from England, Scotland, Mexico, Canada and Australia as well as from all across the US. The international nature of the delegates was also reflected in the speaker line-up, with the presentation from Australian DJ John Beck proving to be another highlight of the first day. John’s passion for being a DJ came across strongly in his presentation that was at times funny, at others poignant and overall very inspiring. John discussed client objections – which it seems are similar the world over – such as ‘why are you so expensive’, and offered practical ideas and advice for dealing with them effectively.
