Pro Mobile Awards 2022 - The Results
The 2022 Pro Mobile Awards were presented as part of the Gala Dinner and Entertainment at Pro Mobile Conference in Solihull on the 27th March 2022.
The 2022 Pro Mobile Awards were presented as part of the Gala Dinner and Entertainment at Pro Mobile Conference in Solihull on the 27th March 2022.
In past years, there has been eight awards, mainly focusing on equipment, but also honouring some individuals. The shortlists for the first six categories were published in the last issue of the magazine – and online – but the winners were chosen by Pro Mobile readers through an online vote. This year saw the additional award for 'Recognition to the Industry In Memory Of', so, we presented 9 awards for our unique industry. We had a truly fantastic response to this, with over 1500 DJs contributing their opinion. This means that these awards are presented by Pro Mobile, but on behalf of all of our readers – normally hard-working DJs that are glad to see a return of weddings and events following the COVID-19 global pandemic.
The ‘DJs' DJ award recognises an individual who has gone above and beyond to help or inspire other DJs. When voting for the other award categories, we asked readers to nominate someone they felt was deserving of the ‘DJs' DJ’ title and also submit a short description of why they felt that particular individual was worthy of the award. The winner was selected not only based on the number of nominations that an individual received but also the reasons behind the nomination.
Finally, the ‘Outstanding Contribution’ award is the only one that hasn’t been voted for by readers. Since 2013, we have presented one award each year recognising an individual who has made a big impact on the mobile DJ industry and also on Pro Mobile. As usual, the Pro Mobile team selected the winner of this award to acknowledge and thank the winner for their positive impact and dedication to both the industry and the magazine.
