Chauvet DJ’s New Beamer 6 FX to Ship Soon
Chauvet DJ this week announced the arrival of its new Beamer 6 FX lighting unit, which is set to hit UK stores sometime next month (March). Offering mobile DJs a useful centrepiece effect, the new product utilises adjustable RGBW beams, a circular SMD strobe and a red/green pattern laser to produce multi-FX displays.
The new Beamer 6 FX has been fitted with six 5W RGBW LEDs, 24 white strobe LEDs and two laser diodes – one red (100mW) and one green (30mW) – allowing users to create eye-catching lightshows incorporating concise multi-beam laser effects, impactful strobing and colourful RGBW beams.
Well-suited as a centrepiece effect (or for lighting performers from behind when working with bands and other entertainers) the Beamer 6 FX allows mobile DJs to cover a wide area thanks to its six individually adjustable RGBW LED lenses. Meanwhile, the lasers’ 3⁰ beam angle lets thousands of patterns and sharp red/green beams be created, ideal for mid-air effects above the dance-floor. In addition, the unit’s LED strobe ring gives users another way to add excitement to their event, creating a nightclub-style atmosphere that’s great for evening receptions and parties.
In terms of control, Chauvet DJ has equipped the Beamer 6 FX with various control options. Using the automated and sound-activated programs, mobile DJs can quickly and easily produce multi-FX displays for their audience, while the 2-channel and 15-channel DMX modes allow them to go more in-depth to create something extra special for their guests and clients. Chauvet DJ also offers a separately sold IRC-6 remote, which enables the wireless control of the Beamer 6 FX’s primary features and settings – useful for triggering lightshows from behind the booth.
Weighing in at 2.9kg and designed with compact dimensions (390 x 390 x 285mm), the Chauvet Beamer FX is lightweight and portable, making it ideal for taking on the road as part of a mobile lightshow. For when DJs want to use multiple lights – for extra coverage and added effect – up to 22 Beamer 6 FX units can be power-linked at 230V, saving mobile DJs the hassle of extensive wiring.
