LD Systems to Give Away Custom-Painted DAVE 18 G3
LD Systems recently asked a renowned French street artist to create a customised version of its DAVE 18 G3 compact active PA system. Now, the company has announced that it will give away the hand-painted speakers in its Christmas competition – giving one lucky winner the chance to own a unique piece of art that’s also capable of big sound!
With a 32 Hz-20 kHz frequency response and a peak SPL of 135dB, the DAVE 18 G3 is an 18” active PA system that’s well-suited to the needs of mobile DJs, offering them powerful output, clear sound and plenty of low-end punch while remaining compact and portable.
Each of its cabinets are made of durable birch plywood and fitted with a 10”/1 coaxial driver, while Class D amplification modules ensure a power output of 4.8W. Meanwhile, the bass-reflex sub enclosure houses an 18” woofer and also provides XLR, 6.3mm and RCA inputs, allowing mobile DJs to connect a wide range of sources. Other features of the DAVE 18 G3 include digital signal processing, multiband limiter, and short circuit/overcurrent protection, to ensure improved sonic performance and reliable operation.
But while this powerful audio solution already offers plenty on the inside, LD Systems wanted to do something special on the outside too! This is where French artist – and member of the renowned Parisian collective Le 9eme Concept – Clément Laurentin comes in. Channelling his love of music, street art and printing, he used a combination of bold pen lines and bright pastel-coloured paint to customise two exclusive DAVE 18 G3 systems with a unique urban graffiti-style finish.
