An affordable but well-built product, the new AV6 from ADJ is the company’s first ever modular LED video panel, with its low price point and compact design providing the most cost-effective way for DJs to integrate LED video into their mobile setups.
Designed with the ‘real world’ budgets of mobile users in mind, the new AV6 video screen is a compact product that lets users create bright, vivid visual effects and add video footage to their lightshow at an affordable price. With a range of features and user-friendly design, mobile users will also find the AV6 to be a practical and adaptable addition to their lighting rig.
The AV6 offers a pixel pitch of 0.25in, a pixel density of 27,777 pixel/m2 and a powerful 3-in-1 SMD2121 LED source, giving mobile DJs access to a large display with a total brightness of 1200 NITS. Exciting visuals and clear colour video footage can then be projected across the panel using control software, making it well-suited to use behind the DJ booth or around a venue.
“Innovation is one of our core principals and we’re incredibly pleased to have released the AV6 – our first ever modular LED video panel,” explained Alfred Gonzales, National Sales Manager for ADJ USA. “Thanks to its compact, simple-to-use design, stunning visual effects and reasonable price point, the AV6 is not only a versatile, forward-looking video solution, but also one that puts powerful video effects in the hands of those lighting users working with more limiting budgets.”
Mobile DJs will also be pleased to know that the AV6 remains lightweight and easy to operate, without losing its capacity for bright, impactful effects. Weighing in at 10.4kg and measuring 577 x 577 x 76mm, it’s particularly well-suited to users who need a quality video panel that is also easy to transport, lift and store.
Users can also incorporate multiple panels into their portable setup, with the quick-lock design allowing them to be combined to form one larger video screen. This is great for DJs working bigger venues or outdoor events, who can also run their power and data cables out of either end of the video wall to avoid the hassle of complex wiring. Offering secure mounting options too, the AV6 panels can also be fixed to ceilings and walls, so users can produce unique displays above the dance-floor and display video footage during events.
ADJ also provides separately sold components and accessories which are needed to connect and use the AV6 panels: The MCTRL-300 video processor is required to send content from a computer to the panel; the AV6RB1 rigging bar lets users hang up to 20 panels vertically; and a range of data-linking, power-linking and safety cables are required to connect multiple AV6 panels.
Two software solutions for managing and controlling content displayed on the AV6 are also offered by ADJ: Media Master Express 4 and GrandVJ 2.0. Meanwhile, the AV6FC protective flight-case allows mobile DJs to store and transport up to eight AV6 panels.
