Equinox Triclops
The second new effect in the Equinox range is the Triclops, a compact centrepiece with three scanning mirrors each reflecting a hexagonal matrix of 20 bright red, green and blue LEDs. A collection of 15 pre-programmed patterns are provided for the LEDs, which are probably best described as 'animated gobos'. These include a spinning figure of eight, moving arrows and also static patterns such as a triangle and straight line.

As with the Quadrille, the Triclops can operate in standalone automatic and sound activated modes, it is also compatible with DMX and multiple units can be linked together in a master/slave configuration. Unlike the Quadrille, the Triclops uses 'old fashioned' DIP switches for mode selection and DMX addressing. There is also a rotary control for altering the sensitivity of the sound activate mode.

When the mirrors and animated patterns move quickly the Triclops creates an energetic effect, perfect for fast electronic dance music. However, when the mirrors sweep slowly and one of the static patterns is used the effect is more subtle, suited to slow dances or background music.
