Adam Hall Expands Cameo Range with New DMX Interface
The Cameo DVC 4 is a new DMX interface and the first product to come from the recent partnership between the Adam Hall Group and renowned software developer the Nicolaudie Group. The Cameo interface offers 512 DMX channels and comes at an attractive price point, while the accompanying DMX control software, Cameo D4, is available as a free download.
Powered by Daslight, the Cameo DVC 4 is a professional DMX control system for Mac or PC that is ideal for mobile DJs looking to gain full control over their lightshow. The user-friendly control software includes a library of over 15,000 fixtures, while custom device profiles can easily be created using the built-in Scan Library Editor. This also allows the expansive library to be extended at any time and eliminates dependence on manufacturer profiles.
With the Cameo D4 software, it is easy to quickly create complex lightshows thanks to the included XEEL Effect Engine, which offers hundreds of different effects that can be combined with each other. It also incorporates a newly developed software engine that enables lighting to also be controlled via iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. What’s more, the included real-time 3D visualization software is ideal for preparing a lightshow in advance. Truss and stage elements can be added and lighting effects - including colours, dimmer settings and GOBOs - can then be viewed and evaluated in real time without the need for the actual lighting equipment to be present.
Thanks to its ‘plug & play’ ability, the intelligent Cameo DVC 4 interface can be easily connected to any computer using the supplied mini USB cable. The Interface also features built-in storage which means that 256 channels of DMX data can be stored for standalone operation without a computer connected.
