Chauvet Professional has announced that its new Maverick MK2 Wash is now shipping. The fixture is powered by 12 OSRAM 40-watt RGBW LEDs and features a custom designed optical system, along with full spectrum colour mixing, to offer impressive washes and beams for the biggest of mobile shows.
Offering independent colour mixing of each of its 12 LEDs, the Maverick MK2 Wash is capable of impressive split-colour and pixel-mapped effects. What’s more, its broad zoom angle of 7° - 49° gives it the flexibility to create beam effects as easily as it covers wide areas as a wash.
The impressive fixture can be controlled via DMX, WDMX, Art-Net, sACN, and Kling-Net. It also offers an innovative Dual Protocol Mode, which allows the fixture’s movement and pixels to be controlled by different protocols. For example, DMX can be used to control the unit’s movement, while Kling-Net is used to video-map its pixels.
Although it is extremely powerful and bright (up to 19,000 lux at 5 metres, depending on the zoom angle), the Maverick MK2 Wash is conveniently compact, measuring 323 x 233 x 471mm and weighing just 14.8kg.
“The MK2 Wash gives designers a new, more powerful and far more versatile tool than was ever available in its category,” said Albert Chauvet, CEO of CHAUVET. “Its output is far beyond that of any fixture close to its size. As a result, the MK2 Wash is not only extremely bright with the power to punch through stage lighting, it’s also very fast with rapid and smooth movements.”
With an SSP of £3212.40, the CHAUVET Professional Maverick MK2 Wash is a serious moving head fixture suitable for the largest of mobile light shows as well as those DJs who also undertake event production work.
