No Retirement For Rod
Alongside a new album, biography and forthcoming ITV Special, Rod Stewart has announced that he will be on the road with his ‘Live The Life’ UK and Ireland summer 2013 tour.

The crooner will be performing his hits such as, ‘I’m Sexy’, ‘Maggie May’, ‘Baby Jane’ and ‘The First Cut is the Deepest’ and is looking forward to performing again, ““I cannot wait to get back on the road again especially in the UK where the fans always make it a very special occasion for me. The June tour is going to be fantastic!”

Rod’s first Christmas album came out on Monday the 12th of November and is surprisingly the first one during his illustrious career. The album features quite a few guest stars including Michael Bublé on 'Winter Wonderland', Mary J Blige on 'We Three Kings' and Cee-Lo Green on title track 'Merry Christmas Baby'. Stewart had some apprehension about creating the album saying, "I think maybe I thought it was beneath me years ago, to do a Christmas album. I thought, I'm a dyed-in-the-wool rocker. I cannot do Christmas albums - or standards.” However, he said that he later changed his mind, adding, "I'm so pleased I did it. It's got some beautiful songs."

On Wednesday the 21st of November Stewart will also be performing selected Christmas songs from the album during an ITV special. He will be joined by Kylie Minogue, Michael Bublé and Nicola Benedetti.
