Rod Stewart To Release Autobiography
The Random House Publishing Group has announced that it will be releasing the autobiography of Grammy Award-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Rod Stewart. The book will be published in both the US and here in England in hardcover, e-book and audio formats in October 2012.

Rod Stewart has had one of the longest careers of any performing artist and is finally ready to take a look back over his illustrious life both on and off stage. In the book Rod recollects tales from his humble roots, life on the road with bands like ‘The Jeff Beck Group’ and ‘The Faces’ and decades touring as a solo performer, not to mention his three marriages and eight children! "I've waited all this time, until my 50th year in the business and realise I can no longer put it off. Forget skeletons in the closet; this one’s going to be socks and knickers under the bed,” Rod said about the forthcoming release.

Arnold Stiefel, Rod’s long-time manager says, “For more than 20 years publishers have pursued me to convince Rod to write his autobiography; however he didn't feel the moment was right and as I learned long ago, he is the master of timing and that time is now. At long last Rod is ready to put pen to paper and Random House, legendary, fabled and never less than relevant, is the ideal publisher.”

In his 50 year carear, Rod has earnt an estimated £250 million in album and single sales with hit songs including ‘Maggie May’, ‘Tonight’s the Night’, ‘Hot Legs’, ‘Do Ya Think I’m Sexy?’, ‘Young Turks’, ‘Rhythm of My Heart’, ‘Stay With Me’, ‘Mandolin Wind’, ‘You Wear It Well’ and many more. Far from being past his peak, Rod continues to wow crowds on a regular basis. In 2011, he kicked off a two-year residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, joining a very short list of elite musical superstars with the international drawing power to headline the Colosseum. While on home soil, in 2007 Rod was bestowed the prestigious CBE (Commander of The British Empire), which was presented by Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace.

Rod’s is an incredible life and in this new book, titled simply 'Rod - The Autobiography', thrillingly and for the first time, he tells the whole thing!
