Abbey Road Studios Release A Book
A book celebrating the infamous Abbey Road Studios has been released to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the first Beatles recording, the 40th anniversary of Pink Floyd’s ‘Dark Side Of The Moon’ and the 80th anniversary of the studios themselves.
‘Abbey Road: The Best Studio In The World’ will feature interviews and a wealth of never before seen pictures from the Abbey Road archives as well as the original bill of sale for the property. The book is a must-have for all music lovers and will take the reader on a journey through the studio’s exciting history.
The studios have housed some of the biggest artists in the world including Oasis, Radiohead, Lady Gaga, Kylie, Florence and the Machine, Elbow, Kanye West, The Cribs, Paul Weller and of course the Beatles. For 80 years Abbey Road has been an iconic symbol of British music and contains a blend of vintage equipment and cutting edge mastering facilities.
The book is written by music journalist Alistair Lawrence with a foreword by Sir George Martin who writes, “This is the story of the greatest studio in the world - it was my nursery along with so many brilliant stars who created their work there. It is a terrific story, well told and even though I know most if it I still find it captivating. So imagine you are coming with me up those steps to the doors of Number Three Abbey Road. You will have a super time, I promise you.”
‘Abbey Road: The Best Studio In The World’ is available from the Abbey Road website priced at £45.00.
