Issue 20 will see the introduction of a new feature to the pages of Pro Mobile. The idea of 'Pro Mobile: Must Have' is to provide DJs with a musical 'crib sheet' of essential tracks. This won't be a playlist, as we all know that one of a DJ's key skills is the ability to play the right track at the right time - and there is no way to pre-plan that. Instead it will provide up-and-coming DJs with a list of tracks that they must have in their collection and also provide a helping hand to jog the memory of established DJs out on the road.

The first instalment of 'Pro Mobile: Must Have' will feature a list of the best current floor filling tracks from each of the key genres of modern music; Pop, RnB/Hip Hop, Indie/Rock and House/Dance. To compile these lists we need help from all Pro Mobile readers. We would like readers to submit their personal top 5 floor fillers from each style of music - these should be the first tracks that you would play if you were asked for a certain genre. Hopefully, by combining ideas from the thousands of DJs who read Pro Mobile we will be able to put together a definitive list that will be essential to new DJs and a useful resource for seasoned pros.



In future issues we will include updates for each genre, listing the new tracks that also deserve 'Must Have' status. Each issue will also include a detailed list of tracks from a particular genre from years gone by. Hopefully this will mean that all of the 'Pro Mobile: Must Have' lists together will make an essential resource for all DJs. Of course we will need input from readers to put together each of these lists - so keep coming back to the website to make your contribution.
