Reloop Launches ‘Next Gen’ RMP-4 Hybrid Controller!
DJ equipment manufacturer Reloop has announced the launch of two brand new products – the RMP-4 hybrid media player and RHP-15 DJ headphones, both of which allow mobile DJs to get more creative with their mixing to bring excitement to a range of events.
The RMP-4 hybrid media player is Reloop’s latest addition to the successful RMP series and an offers a combination of CD player, USB player and performance software controller. In addition to multi-platform support, the new media player also boasts multiple new performance modes and impressive features, allowing mobile DJs to do more with their sets.
The RMP-4 offers four performance modes – Hot Cue, Hot Loop, Loop Roll and Sampler – allowing users to peronalise their mixes, while each mode contains eight trigger pads for dynamic access in the relevant mode. In Hot Cue and Hot Loop modes, users can store, trigger and delete their hot cues/loops – ideal for triggering jingles and playing intros for wedding speeches. Meanwhile, for individual remixes on the fly, three of these modes can be enhanced by the RMP-4’s integrated SLIP mode.
By using two Reloop RMP-4 players together, the user’s performance possibilities are taken even further thanks to a smart-link connection. In Sync Mode, both tracks are synchronised via the master/slave setting, while the smart-link connection allows DJs to access one USB source or DJ software at the same time (MIDI mappings for many DJ softwares are available as download). Furthermore, the RMP-4's sound engine delivers an accurate and dynamic sound performance; the sound remains accurate and distortion-free even when using the high-resolution keylock function.
In terms of accessibility, the large, bright DotMatrix VFD display shows all essential track meta-data, which loads quickly and automatically. Track library navigation is managed by the screen’s adjacent push encoder, which makes navigating music libraries trouble-free. And a large dual-zone jog wheel with a touch-sensitive surface and an accompanying high-resolution 100mm pitch fader allow for manual beat matching to +/- 0.01%. All of this is packed into a robust table-top design, making the RMP-4 a powerful but compact next-generation controller.
Providing mobile DJs with a sturdy-but-flexible headphone solution, Reloop has also launched its new RHP-15 headphones, which are designed to be comfortable over long periods while offering quality sound. Thanks to their closed construction and powerful 50mm neodymium drivers, the RHP-15s offer excellent sound, while their ear cups have rotatable hinges for flexible handling to suit individual monitoring.
As well as being pliable, the RHP-15s are also comfortable, thanks to the thick head-band padding and cushioned ear cups, meaning they won’t cause discomfort for mobile DJs playing long DJ sets or all-day weddings. The RHP-15s headphones also come supplied with a large bag, making for easy transport of the headphones and the included accessories while on the road.
The Reloop RHP-15 headphones are available now at an SSP of £55; the Reloop RMP-4 is available at an SSP of £375.
