At a time when bedroom DJing has become the norm for many, and live streaming is the only way to play to a crowd, a good set of monitor speakers is as important as ever.

Before we get into this, I have chosen to review a selection of 5-inch monitors, as I feel they are the perfect size and price point for both professional and entry level DJing. They also have enough power to fill any bedroom or studio without overkill to annoy your neighbours!
All these speakers are active, meaning there is no need for an amp; they plug directly into power, and straight into your audio interface, mixer or DJ controller. It’s also worth noting that they are available in other sizes (most go up to 8-inch) so there are larger, louder options.
