Iron Maiden Announce O2 Gig
Legendary rock group Iron Maiden will perform one concert at London’s O2 on Saturday the 2nd of August to round off their current world tour.
Lead singer Bruce Dickinson told fans at Download festival about the homecoming gig which will round of the European leg of their tour, “We've all been having such a fantastic time on this tour. From the very first show in North America last year to the European dates we've done so far, it's just been tremendous fun. Our fans have been brilliant as usual, and seem to be loving the set-list and the stage production.”
Discussing a final show at the O2 he added, “So we thought that because this tour has been such an amazing experience for band and fans alike, it somehow seems right to finish up back home in England and have the final show celebration on home turf. The O2 is a great venue to play with a really fantastic vibe, so we're really looking forward to this show being one almighty party!"
Iron Maiden, who formed in 1975, have released over 35 albums and are hailed as pioneers of the new wave of British heavy metal. Their most iconic tracks include ‘Be Quick Or Be Dead’, ‘Bring Your Daughter… To The Slaughter’ and ‘Holy Smoke’. Their most recent album ‘The Final Frontier’ reached number 1 in 28 countries upon its release in 2010.
Tickets for Iron Maiden's O2 show will go on sale from June the 28th.
