End Of the Road For Girls Aloud
Claims have emerged this week that pop group Girls Aloud will be splitting for good following their reunion tour.

The Sun reported that Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts, Sarah Harding, Nadine Coyle and Kimberley Walsh will be hanging up their hotpants to focus on their individual careers. An insider told the publication that “At the tour press conference they deliberately dodged questions about future plans because they did not want to spoil the excitement. The girls have known all along that this would be the last time they would all work together."

The group are currently celebrating a decade together with their latest album ‘Ten’ and forthcoming tour. The source claimed that the group felt their ages had a part to play in the split, "They all want to make this a way to bow out on a high and walk away for the next chapter in their lives without constant questions about when they will be getting back together."

Several members have enjoyed individual fame, with Cheryl leading the way thanks to two successful solo albums and her stint as an X Factor judge. Nadine has moved stateside with her record label Black Pen Records, whilst also owning ‘Nadine’s Irish Mist’, a bar on Sunset Boulevard. Meanwhile, Kimberley has proven herself in the world of musical theatre having taken to the West End stage to star in ‘Shrek’ the musical.

Girls Aloud's 21 date '10 - The Hits' tour kicks off in Newcastle on February the 21st and ends on the 20th of March in Liverpool.
