Mumford & Sons Up For 9 Awards
Indie band Mumford & Sons are up for a whopping 6 Grammys and 3 Brit awards, as well as planning the forthcoming release of their new single ‘Whispers In The Dark’.
The band feature in the Best Live Act and Best Group categories, with their second album 'Babel' nominated for 'Best Album'. Since its release in late September 2012, 'Babel' has sold over two million albums globally and achieved double platinum status in the UK.
Their current nominations equal the same number that the band received at the Brit Awards in 2011 where they won 'British Album of the Year' for their debut release, 'Sigh No More'.
In addition to their Brit Award nods, Mumford & Sons are shortlisted for six Grammy Awards, with the ceremony taking place in Los Angeles on the 10th of February, ten days before the Brits.
Mumford & Sons release a new single, 'Whispers In The Dark', on the 11th of March.
