Mastermix Release Issue 319

The latest instalment in the Mastermix range is a great addition to any New Year collection! The 2 part CD is filled with mixes, remixes and mash-ups and features tracks from the likes of will.i.am, Kelly Clarkson, Daley and pop sensation Carly Rae Jepsen.
Starting off the post-festive tidings is ‘Chart Breakers’ which includes the tracks ‘Forever Now’ from Ne-Yo and ‘Die Young’ from Ke$ha. Following on nicely is the ‘Rock And Roll Party Stomper’, a 10 track mix that takes a step back in time to feature some much loved classics including ‘Summertime Blues’ from Eddie Cochrane, ‘That’s What I Like’ from Jive Bunny & the Mastermixers as well as several Cliff Richard numbers.
Get your air guitar out now for the ‘Fist Clenchers!’ mix, a fab collection of retro rock and pop tracks. Starting off is ‘Don’t Stop Believin’’ made famous of course by the cast of ‘Glee’, before going into ‘The One & Only’ from Chesney Hawkes, ‘I’m Always Here’ from Jimi Jamison, ‘Since You’ve Been Gone’ by Rainbow and ‘Livin’ On A Prayer’ from Bon Jovi.
We chill things out now with the next two mixes ‘Indie Floorfillers’ and ‘Pop Party’, two collections filled with hits from the noughties! Fun faves such as ‘The Bad Touch’ from Bloodhound Gang and ‘Danger! High Voltage’ from Electric Six along with current hits such as ‘Try’ from Pink, ‘Carry On’ from Fun and ‘Troublemaker’ from Olly Murs feat. Flo Rida. Finishing off CD1 is the ‘Extended Floorfiller: I Love To Boogie’ by T-Rex.
We start CD2 off with a look back into the past 12 months! ‘Just Great Dance – The Best Of 2012’ kicks off with ‘Can’t Wait For The Weekend (Super Stylers Remix) from Michael Gray (feat. Roll Deep) and includes remixes of ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ from Swedish House Mafia, ‘Million Voices’ by Otto Knows and ‘How We Do (Party) from Rita Ora.
‘Commercial Dance’ is up next with remixes of recent smashes including the top ten hit from Rita Ora with ‘Shine Ya Light’. Other tracks include ‘Don’t Stop The Party’ from Pitbull and arguably Swedish House Mafia’s biggest singles, ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ and ‘Save The World’. Quite aptly, the ‘Swedish House Mafia Hitmix’ follows on next with six of their biggest tracks.
The first, and last, Triple Tracker of Issue 319 is on CD2, the ‘12” Triple Tracker: 90s Dance’ features ‘Rhythm Is A Mystery’ from K-Klass, ‘Show Me Love’ from Robin S and ‘Where Love Lives’ from Alison Limerick. We round off this great collection with a mash-up of Adele’s ‘Rolling In The Deep’ and Ke$ha’s ‘Die Young’ before an ‘Extended Chart Hit: This Kiss’ from Carly Rae Jepsen.
