Issue 316 is the latest offering from Mastermix and it’s a belter! The two-part CD is for DJs only and includes 15 mixes, remixes and mash-ups for your listening pleasure. Featured artists include Labrinth, Example, Pink and Pitbull, with an exclusive Elton John vs. PNAU Triple Tracker. With plenty of chart hits and dance smashes, Issue 316 is the perfect accompaniment for any DJ.

Getting us straight into the party mood is ‘Chart Breakers’ which includes tracks from Ne-Yo, X Factor runner-up Amelia Lily, Pitbull and the hit from Sam and The Womp: ‘Bom Bom’. A brilliant collection of ‘Motown Classics’ is up next, with some fab favourites to fill the dance floor. The mix features 7 classic tracks including ‘I’ll Be There’ by the Jackson 5, ‘What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted’ by the Contours and ‘It’s Wonderful (To Be Loved By You)’ from Jimmy Ruffin.

We go back into party land now with the ‘Wap Bom Womp Doop Party’, a collection of groovy movers designed to get crowds dancing! Featuring ‘Wap Bam Boogie’ from Matt Bianco, ‘Papa’s Got A Brand New Pigbag’ from Pigbag and ‘Let It All Blow’ by Dazz Band. Following on nicely is the Marvin Gaye Triple Tracker which collates some of his best songs; ‘The Onion Song’, ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’, and ‘Sunny’, who doesn’t love a bit of old school?

‘Chart Hits Extra’ and ‘Get This Girly Party Started’ are definitely ones to get the ladies on the dancefloor! Including ‘Under The Sun’ from Cheryl, ‘Payphone’ by Maroon 5 (feat. Wiz Khalifa)’ and the ultimate feel-good tune, ‘Get The Party Started’ from Pink. CD1 then rounds off with ‘DJ Beats: Wings’ from Little Mix, a sure-fire floor filler!

We’re heading into dance territory now with CD2, kicking off is ‘Commercial Dance’ which contains remixes of current chart toppers. The 5 track collection includes an extended club mix of Example’s ‘Say Nothing’, a Steve Smart and Westfunk Club Mix of Amelia Lily’s ‘You Bring Me Joy’ and a Kat Krazy extended mix of Labrinth’s ‘Treatment’. ‘Commercial Dance’ is followed swiftly by the 2nd Triple Tracker of Issue 316 from Elton John vs. PNAU and includes the tracks ‘Sad’, ‘Good Morning To The Night’ and ‘Pheonix’.

‘Pop Dance’ also introduces us to some remixed hits, including ‘Good Time (Wideboys Club Mix)’ from Owl City (feat. Carly Rae Jepsen), ‘Explode (Moto Blanco Club Mix)’ by Cover Drive (feat. Dappy) and the addictive ‘Let’s Have A Kiki (Almighty Radio Edit)’ from Scissor Sisters.

CD 2 comes to a close with 4 lively and exclusive mash-ups including Example vs. Carly Rae Jepsen with ‘Changed The Way You Kiss Me’ and ‘Call Me Maybe’ as well as Ne-Yo vs. Sam and The Womp with ‘Beautiful Monster’ and ‘Bom Bom’. CD2 then finishes with ‘Let’s Dance (Chris Fletcher 2012 Mix)’ by David Bowie.
