Kiss Introduce Monster
Rock legends Kiss have released a limited edition book which is “as tall as a guitar”. The retrospective publication features unseen photographs from the band’s career which spans four decades. The book itself is over three feet tall and two feet wide and just 1000 copies are available to fans.

Each copy of the aptly named ‘Kiss Monster’ is individually signed by the band’s members, Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer. The group’s website has this to say about the release, “Anyone who has experienced a Kiss performance knows the bigger, louder and heavier, the better! The sheer size of the images the book contains means that the level of detail, vibrancy and intimacy is incredible, bringing the Kiss experience alive."

A brilliant keepsake it is, however it's one for the die-hard fans as it set them back a cool $3,499 (£2,231) during the ‘pre-launch’ sale, this figure then rose to $4,299 (£2,742) after the official launch on the 3rd of July. Appearing without their infamous make-up, the band debuted the book at the Dover Street Arts Club in London, giving fans the first glimpse of the huge book (shown below).

‘Kiss Monster’ includes hundreds of unseen photographs and exclusive band information. Each one is made to order and can include the country flag of the owner’s choosing on the cover. (Though we think it should be gold-plated for that amount!)

Before the American Music Awards in 2011, Gene Simmons also announced a new album, ‘Monster’ to coincide with the book, followed by a worldwide tour in the Autumn of 2012.
