Issue 312 Out Now!
Issue 312 is the ultimate collection of mixes, mash-ups and remixes from hit-makers Mastermix. This two-CD set for DJs only is bursting with the latest smashes, retro classics and dance wonders including ‘We Are Young’ by Fun (feat. Janelle Monae), ‘Boyfriend’ by Justin beiber, ‘Never Too late’ by Kylie Minogue, and an extended floorfiller made popular by a recent TV advert, ‘You’re The Best’ by Joe Esposito.

Throwing us into the party mood is ‘Philadelphia Classics: The Tom Moulton Remixes pt.1’. Some great retro hits that will no doubt invoke fond memories. The O’Jays entertain with ‘Backstabbers’, ‘I Love Music’ and ‘Love Train’ mixed within some other boogie numbers. This initial remix is a great intro to ‘The Wedding Playlist pt.1’ which is an incredibly camp (and instantly loved) mix, incorporating the likes of Abba with ‘Dancing Queen’, ‘I Want You Back (’88 PWL remix) by the Jackson 5 and the unforgettable voice of Whitney Houston in her hit ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me).

‘Stock, Aitken & Waterman: Alternative Hits’ carries us onto the next section of CD1 with some 80’s wonders. Kicking off with ‘Whenever You Need Somebody’ by Rick Astley before going into a bit of ‘I Can’t Help It’ by Bananarama, ‘Toy Boy’ by Simon Cowell’s BFF Sinitta and ending on a high with Samantha Fox’s ‘Nothing’s Gonna Stop me Now’. A complete change of era for the next collection ‘Swing-A-Long-A-Party’, Crooner Frank Sinatra gets us into a merry mood with ‘You Make Me Feel So Young’ before we go into a track that everyone can appreciate, ‘How D’Ya Like Your Eggs In The Morning’ from Dean Martin and Helen O’Connell. One that will definitely get everyone giggling is ‘Gilly Gilly Ossenfeffer Katzenellenbogen By The Sea’ from Max Bygraves, phew that’s a mouthful!

‘Beyoncé vs. Destiny’s Child’ is the penultimate offering and is a great mash-up of their most well-known hits, including ‘Survivor’, ‘Jumpin’ Jumpin’, and Crazy In Love’ before finishing off CD1 with the ‘Extended Floorfiller: You’re The Best’ from Joe Esposito.

‘Chart Breakers’ introduces us to CD2, a mix of current hits including ‘Glitter & Gold’ by X Factor runner-up Rebecca Ferguson, ‘Boyfriend’ by Justin Beiber and the unexpected smash from Fun (feat. Janelle Monae, ‘We Are Young’. This warms us up nicely for the ‘Commercial Dance’ mix, which features man of the moment Conor Maynard with the Lazy J mix of his hit ‘Can’t Say No’, a remix of the number one smash ‘RIP’ by Rita Ora (feat. Tinie Tempah) and ‘Let’s Go (Extended Mix)’ by Calvin Harris (feat. Ne-Yo).

CD2 goes a bit RnB now with ‘Triple Tracker: Chris Brown’ which contains his hits ‘Turn Up The Music’, ‘Yeah 3x’ and ‘beautiful People (feat. Benny Benassi)’ before moving onto the ‘Hip Hop Party Breaks’ which is an evening chill-out mix and great background music for lots of occasions. Tracks include ‘Empire Stae Of Mind’ by Jay-Z (feat. Alicia Keys) and the huge ‘Love The Way You Lie’ from Eminem and Rihanna. ‘Taio Cruz Hitmix’ gets us back in the mood for dancing, definitely an ideal BBQ playlist, featuring arguably his best releases ‘Higher’, ‘Little Bad Girl’, ‘Troublemaker’ ‘Dynamite’ and ‘hangover’.

We end CD2 with two lively mash-ups, ‘Giorgio Moroder & Phil Oakley vs. Sean Kingston’ with ‘Together In Electric Dreams’ and ‘Party All Night (Sleep All Day) (Acapella) ‘and also David Guetta vs Lady Gaga’ with the brilliant tracks ‘Turn Me On’ and ‘Judas (Acapella)’.

A great collection of tracks for all the summer events you’ve got planned! This two part CD is available now priced at £18.38.
