Sainsbury’s have announced that they will be extending their entertainment sector by introducing single and album digital downloads.
The new service, hosted on www.sainsburysentertainment.co.uk, provides customers with access to over 2.3 million downloads ' including tracks and albums. Value tracks start at 89p and there will also be a ‘Deal of the Week’ album for £4.99, similar to the idea used by ITunes which sees albums being sold for £5. Sainsbury customers will also the added incentive that alongside whatever they decide to buy, they will receive Nectar points.
Sainsbury's is also guaranteeing lowest prices its on pre-order items. Therefore, when an MP3 is purchased and the price drops ahead of or on the release date, Sainsbury's will refund the difference, so customers can be safe in the knowledge they are getting the best deal when purchasing any music.
The simple and easy-to-use website has been launched to help customers get what they need quickly, with clear instructions from how to download and build a playlist to a unique preview function, which allows consumers to listen to music ahead of purchasing it.
