The NADJ has announced who will be speaking at their AGM & Seminar Day on Sunday 29th April 2012 at The Holiday Inn, Newport, Wales.
The event will kick off with a meet and greet hour from 11am and then the seminars will begin at 12pm. There will be four presentations (see full details below) from professional speakers, each bringing ideas and insight from outside of the DJ industry. The formal business of the NADJ AGM will then take place at 5:15pm and an evening social/networking event will end the day, starting at 7:30pm.
Entry is free for all NADJ members who are encouraged to attend the event in order to get involved in the AGM and have input into the future of the association. Non-members are also welcome to attend, however there will be a £10 fee. Spouses/children of NADJ members will benefit from a concessionary rate of £5. For those wanting to stay over at the Holiday Inn on the night of the AGM & Seminar Day, the NADJ has negotiated a great deal on accommodation of £49 for up to two people, including breakfast.

Angela Durrant -
Vocal Versatility
Angela will be using her talents as a vocal coach to show you that your voice can be one of your biggest assets. So, when faced with having to host the fashion show or company awards ceremony, you'll be better equipped to command your audience, and gain the confidence to take on bigger challenges.
Angela was born into a family with a rich entertainment heritage. Her father was an accomplished and popular ukulele performer, her mother was a fine classical singer and her much loved uncle was the cheeky Lancastrian ukulele playing 1940s film star George Formby! It was no surprise that her first stage appearance was at the tender age of three during one of her dad’s music hall performances, dancing away to her father's ukulele playing!
Having studied at the Welsh College of Music and Drama in her formative years Angela’s talents are now focused on the education and motivation of other performers through vocal coaching, teaching and consultancy work.
David Finch -
Becoming The Host DJ
Are you ready to move to the next level by acting as host at your weddings and functions? Would you like to maximise your earning potential?
With over 35 years of experience as a DJ, David Finch, has also served as a Toastmaster for over 15 years. He's a member of the Executive Guild of Toastmasters and is well qualified to explain how using the techniques of a Toastmaster, we can raise our game and thus become more than 'just the DJ', becoming the 'host' of each event.
David will provide you with an insight into working as a Toastmaster and Master of Ceremonies. He will explain how to add the right balance of dignity and formality to your events. This seminar will also highlight areas such as initial planning and client advice through to etiquette, traditions, timings and speeches (who say's what and when). This will all ensure functions run smoothly and are presented in a professional manner.
