Mixed In Key Releases Mashup 1.5
Mixed In Key has announced the release of Mashup 1.5 (Mac and Windows), a free update to its mashup-creation software application.
The enhanced features of the new version make it easier than ever to construct beat-matched and harmonically compatible mashups from two or more song files. Mashup 1.5 works in conjunction with the company’s harmonic-mixing application, Mixed In Key 5, to create a complete mashup-creation toolkit for DJs, producers, remixers, and podcasters.
New features in Mashup 1.5 include:
Improved beat matching
Cut/copy/paste editing of audio sections within a single track
Looping of audio
Splitting of audio tracks into multiple segments that can be easily moved around to create new arrangements.
Phase adjustment of individually selected segments
Numerous performance and stability enhancements
“With Mixed In Key Mashup 1.0, we made it possible to create professional-sounding mashups in under five minutes,” says company president Yakov Vorobyev. “With version 1.5, you have even more creative control.”
These additions augment Mashup’s feature set, which offers 3-band EQ with breakpoint automation, automatic import of the Mixed In Key library, BPM and harmonic-compatibility rating of songs, customizable tempos, automatic beatmatching, selecting and silencing of song sections, bouncing to 320kbps MP3 or 16-bit, 44.1kHz WAV files, and more.
Mashup retails for approximately £24. If you’re a registered owner of Mixed In Key Mashup 1.0, the upgrade is free.
