Reloop Releases 2-Channel Controller For Virtual DJ
Reloop’s new Beatmix is an easy to setup and even easier to use MIDI DJ controller developed especially for the popular Virtual DJ software package. Newbies and experienced DJs alike will soon be able to familiarise themselves with this 2-channel controller and can be up and running in the mix in no time.
The Beatmix features a newly developed aluminium jog wheel with a 14cm circumference and is equipped with two jog modes for vinyl-like scratching and fast-track browsing. Each of the two decks has a large transport section, together with a Hot Cue panel, while double functionality for all the control elements is provided via a shift layer. Users can easily select effects and filters to fire them off by means of the clearly arranged effects section and, with the dedicated Beat Mash mode, it’s possible to creatively chop up a track with a simple push of a button. For even more live remixing possibilities, beat synchronous loops of various different lengths can be set up on the fly.
The focus here is uncomplicated music mixing and the Beatmix has an ergonomically arranged, and very familiar, two channel mixer/player design for quick and easy access to software features. Reloop’s Trax Encoder provides mouse-less music library management and USB power, together with an integrated USB audio interface, makes for quick ‘plug & play’ setup. Simply connect the Beatmix to your Mac or PC via USB and to your PA system via a stereo RCA phono connection and you’re ready to play. Additionally, headphones and even a microphone can be connected directly in to the unit and professional ASIO drivers ensure ultra-low latency for tight track control and responsiveness whilst in the mix.
Weighing just 4.65Kg and measuring 515 x 44 x 320mm the Beatmix is compact and portable, but big enough to allow well-spaced and well-sized controls. The controller is supplied ready to go with a USB cable and both Virtual DJ LE 4-Deck Reloop Edition as well as Serato DJ Intro software.
