Peavey Introduces the Impulse 261 Loudspeaker
Peavey has announced the availability of its new Impulse 261, a wide-range high-output permanent install two-way loudspeaker system designed for bars and restaurants. With two 6.5” woofers and a 1” titanium dome tweeter mounted on a waveguide, the system is capable of excellent controlled coverage, with a hi-fi sound character. While obviously not of direct relevance to mobile entertainers, those DJs who also provide equipment installation services will no-doubt be interested in this visually and audibly pleasing speaker.

The speaker system is protected from overload by independent overload protection for the woofer and the tweeter. This coupled with an advanced design crossover network provides smooth, yet clear, sound with low distortion and excellent reliability. Connection is via a locking Euro (Phoenix type) connector with screw terminals.

The Impulse 261’s injection moulded ABS plastic enclosure is weather resistant and features a smooth and rounded modern shape designed to blend in with any décor. A perforated powder-coated metal grille provides protection to the speaker cones and a wide aiming mounting bracket is included as standard. To ensure that the speaker blends appropriately with its surrounds, two versions of the enclosure are available with either a black or white finish.

The Impulse 261 Loudspeaker System is available now from Peavey distributors.
