Peavey Electronics is teaming up with Martin Professional to sponsor the popular Agora Stage at this year’s Musikmesse in Frankfurt (March 21st - 24th). Peavey and Martin will be providing a complete audio and lighting setup for both Agora stages during the entire 4-day trade fair.
The Agora Stage, a large festival tent, is the exhibition’s main performance space with live entertainment throughout the show. On Thursday evening, March 22nd, Peavey and Martin will be holding a special Agora Stage event with entertainment including The Alex Skolnick Trio and the Peavey All Stars. Fans of the Alex Skolnick Trio include international superstars Rodrigo & Gabriella, who chose the trio as their support act on tours throughout the US and Europe in 2010 (and recruited Alex as a guest on their hit album 11/11), and Metallica’s Robert Trujillo, who joined the band for an impromptu jam at Radio City Music Hall. Most famously Alex is lead guitarist for Testament who are touring with Anthrax later this year.
Peavey’s commercial audio division will be supplying all the audio for the Agora Stage’s setup, from the mixing desks to front-of-house PA and monitoring system. The gear that will be used includes the Peavey Versarray 212, which is powered by Crest Pro amplifiers and controlled using the companies Media Matrix technology.
"We're again looking forward to the opportunity to put so much of our gear through its paces in front of what is a very critical audience!" said Clive Roberts, managing director of Peavey Europe. "It's great exposure for all the product lines, especially the Versarray system, which is a revolutionary product in its class.”
The lighting setup will be dominated by Martin EC Series™ LED video screens in combination with a host of Martin MAC moving heads, including the award-winning MAC Aura™. Lighting control will be handled from a Martin M1 console.
Peter Kroul, Sales Director for Martin EMEA North, commented, "This year we are proud to celebrate our 25th Anniversary and that is reason for us to announce a lot of special happenings at the exhibition starting with the product launch of a new generation of moving heads – the MAC Viper family – as well as new M-Series controllers and additions to our creative LED video panels."
The first band is scheduled to take the stage at 18:30 for the Peavey and Martin event on Thursday 22nd March.
