The latest new scanner to be added to Prolight Concepts’ Equinox range is not one, but four scanners in a compact and robust housing. The Scantastic 4 scans a wide area on both its X and Y axis creating a room filling experience from a single easy to use fixture.

Filled with 60 5mm LEDs (16 Red, 20 Green, 20 Blue & 4 Amber), the Scantastic 4 punches out bright, colourful and vibrant beams. With multiple built-in on-board functions this unit can work in sound active, auto run or DMX modes.

Three different DMX modes are provided, each requiring a different number of control channels and providing a varying level of functionality. The eight channel option provides access to in-built movement programs, but doesn’t allow custom X/Y positioning. Meanwhile the twelve channel option does allow individual control of each scanning mirror, but doesn’t allow access to the movement programs. Finally, the full seventeen channel option allows independent mirror control and access to the pre-programmed patterns as well as a host of other features.

Although packing plenty of lighting punch, the Scantastic 4 is both lightweight (just 6.6Kgs) and compact (measuring 621 x 117 x 367mm). It is provided with both IEC input and output sockets, to allow daisy chaining of multiple units, and also features a simple LED display screen for mode selection and DMX addressing.
