New Website Launched for Professional DJs
The DJ Community is a new website aimed directly at the professional mobile DJ industry. Unlike other forums and member’s sites, this new community requires that applicants must match or exceed very specific membership criteria and must also pay an annual fee. In return they will be able to access premium content not found on other websites and converse freely with other professionals in their chosen field.
The website is a joint ownership project between Ian Forest (SEDA Vice-Chairman and former owner of mobileDJforums) and Darren Thomas (joint owner of the Mobile Disco Directory). It has been set up specifically to cater for the needs of professional DJs all over the country.
Ian Forest explains, “It’s been a very long process. We felt that it was necessary to listen to people on other forums, Facebook and at networking groups so that we could get a better understanding of what people wanted. We know it’s not going to appeal to everyone, but we do know that there is a clear need for a website like this, and now it exists.”
Darren Thomas adds “Having been involved within the DJ community with forums, associations and other mediums, both Ian and I felt the time was right to join together and create a place where professionals can come with like-minded colleagues to discuss, share and learn and raise their business profile to the next level.”
Since its recent launch, The DJ Community has already signed up over 30 members. The membership fee is currently £50.00 until August 31st 2011 at which time it will rise to £100 per
