Gemini Launch New Tabletop Player
Gemini used the NAMM trade show that took place in California earlier this month to launch their new flagship tabletop media player. The CDJ-700 gives DJs the ability to access, search and perform their music in several formats (WAV, AIFF, MP3, or AAC) from a CD, USB memory device, or SD card with powerful playback controls.
In addition to traditional deck-controls, the CDJ-700 provides advanced functions such as loop adjust and slip mode, as well as six DSP-powered effects and a large colour TFT touch-screen. The CDJ-700 can also be used as a MIDI controller for any of the plethora of DJ software options that are on the market.
The CDJ-700 offers pristine audio quality with a 24-bit/192 kHz soundcard providing line output and digital outputs (S/PDIF). The unit has been designed with high-end components including a slot loading CD drive that allows the quickest possible transition between discs and a high resolution pitch fader with range of +/- 4, 8, 16, 24, 50, 100% (Master Tempo up to +/-24%).
“Looking at the modern DJ workflow we rethought what a media player should be,” said David Cabasso, Vice President of Product Development at GCI Technologies. “Our newest family of media players gives DJs more control and options than they’ve ever had before.”
The Gemini CDJ-700 should be landing at your local DJ retailer in the next few months at a very affordable price point.
