Introducing the Citronic MPCD-X3
Established mobile DJ brand Citronic have recently launched a new flagship for their range of tabletop DJ CD Players. The MPCD-X3 is a feature packed CD player, which also incorporates a USB port to allow playback of digital tracks directly from a memory stick or portable hard disk. Compatible with regular audio CDs as well as WAV and MP3 files stored on either CD-R discs or USB devices, the new player offers maximum flexibility to the modern DJ.
The MPCD-X3 features a large "AQ-touch" sensitive jog wheel, which offers standard CD playback control as well as a vinyl emulation mode. Pitch control can be configured to +/- 6, 10, 16 and 100% and a pitch lock function is provided to prevent 'chipmunk' vocals.
A collection of DSP effects are provided to allow creative DJs to spice up their mixes. These include echo, flanger and filter effects, all of which can be customised with X & Y parameters adjustable using the jog wheel. Other advanced features include seamless looping (with 'auto loop' mode) and four user assignable memory banks that can be used to store samples or cue points.
