Mobile DJ gear brand Kam have recently unveiled their new KSD3 all-in-one mixer and playback device. The new unit, which replaces the previous KSD2 model, allows digital music files to be played from either USB storage devices or SD cards and also provides input connections for external devices.

The playback portion of the KSD3 offers fast SD card / USB access times and support of external hard drives up to 100Gb. To aid with track selection a folder search facility is provided along with quick iD3 tag reading and track title display. Each player features a large, easy to read, LCD display together with a scratch jog wheel and +/- 16% pitch control feature. The unit also features DSP effects, including break and reverse, as well as a fast-react seamless loop facility.



The mixer section features 6-point LED level meters, split cue and a user-replaceable cross-fader. Each of the two audio channels is provided with gain, bass, mid and treble controls on each channel, while a separate mic input has dedicated gain, bass and treble adjustments.
