New SD Player from American DJ
Following the success of their SDJ1 twin SD card digital music player for DJs, American DJ have recently launched the SDJ2. This new product combines a twin SD card player with a two channel DJ mixer in one compact rack-mount unit.
The SDJ2 requires just 3U of rack space and weighs a mere 2.2kgs, making it on of the smallest all-in-one DJ mixer/players on the market. The two SD card slots, which support cards of up to 4 GB capacity, are complimented by a USB port for added flexibility. Tracks can be located on storage media using a folder search function and then prepared for playback using frame-accurate cueing. A host of playback features are provided including seamless loop, pitch control up to +/- 16%, tempo lock and three hot start buttons.
The mixer element features fader start, 2-band EQ, replaceable dual mode cross-fader and a mic input. Connectivity is provided for both the mixed signal (via 1/4” jack and RCA phono) and also each separate player, allowing them to be connected to a separate DJ mixer as a part of a bigger system if necessary.
