Denon DJ Launch New Product in Malta
At the beginning of September while much of the industry was ensconced in Earls Court, Denon DJ staged the European launch for their new professional multimedia player and controller, the DN-HD2500, on the idyllic Mediterranean island of Malta.

It was an obvious destination for parent company D&M Professional Europe to host such an event, since Denon DJ playback devices have a huge presence in the island’s progressive DJ set-ups — largely due to the efforts of local distributor, Stefan Farrugia of Future-Tech.

Around 50 of their international distributors, dealers, press and selective customers packed their bags for the sun-soaked island — including two distinguished guests from Japan, Kenji Okamura and Masato Yamamoto from D&M Professional.

Based at the luxury waterfront hotel, Le Meridien in St. Julians, the itinerary took the form of a product presentation, with training on the new product and overall discussion groups debating future marketing strategies.

The DN-HD2500 itself provides working DJs with a complete system solution that addresses virtually all their needs. With built-in hard drive, external memory, CD playback control, catalogue back-up, special effects and more, the system is an all-in-one portable hub for professional DJs.

After dark, the party took full advantage of all the nightlife this tiny island has to offer.

Summarised Mark Perrins, D&M Professional Europe’s Brand Director, “This proved to be a highly cost-effective marketing exercise. Not only were we able to convey the message about a groundbreaking new product but the event proved a great bonding exercise within the environs of a fabulous hotel … with lots of good food and social activities, like boat trips and clubbing, thrown in.”

Unfortunately Pro Mobile's invitation to this trip must have been lost in the post! However, look out for more details and hopefully a full review on this piece of kit in a future issue of the magazine.
