SEDABuzz Mobile DJ Education Event Returns for 2015
SEDABuzz – the annual mobile DJ educational event run by the South Eastern Discotheque Association (SEDA) – will return in February to offer members and non-members a productive day of educational seminars and networking opportunities. The event will run from 09.00-17.00 on Monday the 9th of February at the Holiday Inn Maidstone in Wrotham Heath.
The organisation has lined up a number of speakers and industry names to deliver a full day of mobile DJ-relevant content. Richard Lee (Label Manager for Mastermix) will use his 20 years’ experience as a professional DJ to present a seminar titled ‘Pop Quiz: A New Generation’. Having hosted hundreds of quiz nights across the UK and Europe, Richard will have plenty of tips and techniques to share with the DJs in attendance, as he shows them how to create and present ‘the perfect quiz’. Richard will also display some of the latest technology available to DJs, showing delegates how they can put it to good use for their quiz nights in 2015.
Elsewhere on the bill, guest speaker Ziggy Zoo will conduct a workshop on children’s entertainment, showing delegates a few ways to expand their business into what he considers a rewarding and lucrative sector. Drawing on his own success and experience, Terry Lewis – winner of Best Wedding DJ at the Wedding Industry Awards 2014 – will present a seminar on ‘How to Attract High-End Brides and Book Higher Valued Weddings’. In addition, Roger Sutton from the Musician’s Union will hold a talk on the important issue of Health and Safety, while David Reed sets out to explain why every delegate should stand out as a DJ, offering them his advice on how to make it happen.
A SEDABuzzBack Topics session will also be held, giving delegates an open floor on which to discuss issues relevant to them. Seminar timings are still to be confirmed.
The cost for the day is £10 for members and £15 for non-members. To reserve a place, all delegates must register with Caroline Robinson – caroline.robinson@seda.org.uk – through which payment via PayPal can also be made. Alternatively, SEDABuzz will be taking cash on the day. During registration, an optional buffet lunch can also be pre-booked at a cost of £15.95.
