Wedding Industry Awards for Best Regional DJs Announced
During the last few weeks the regional winners of the 2015 Wedding Industry Awards have been announced at events across the country. The Awards seek to reward the outstanding efforts of wedding DJs – alongside bridal retailers, photographers, caters, venues and other wedding professionals – while also giving clients a chance to voice their opinions and thank their favourite suppliers by voting for them.
Entry to the 2015 Wedding Industry Awards closed on the 17th of October, voting finished on the 24th and then a panel of industry judges selected a winner for each region from those short-listed through the public vote. The judges took the voting results into consideration, as well as an application submitted by the DJs themselves and customer testimonials, in choosing the overall winners.
Once the judges had cast their votes, a number of events across England saw the regional winners announced (listed below). Split into seven areas, the regional awards took place at Sandhole Oak Barn in Cheshire; Middleton Lodge in North Yorkshire; Mythe Barn in Warwickshire; Bassmead Manor Barns in Cambridgeshire; Manor Mews in Norfolk; Kingscote Barn in Gloucestershire; and Farnham Castle in Surrey.
“The standard of entries in many of the areas was incredibly high, and choosing between them was very tough,” said Eddie Short, Editor of Pro Mobile Magazine, who was on the judging panel in the DJ category. “The many heartfelt testimonials written by brides and grooms showed what a good job the entrants all do. I found it very encouraging to read about so many DJs who are really going the extra mile to offer incredible services to their clients and push up the public perception of mobile DJs across the country.”
The next stage of judging is currently taking place and the national winner for Best Wedding DJ will be announced at an award ceremony in London next year. The event will take place at the Café de Paris, in the heart of London’s West End, on Thursday the 15th of January 2015. The awards will be presented live on stage by Sky News’ Isabel Webster and Wedding Industry Awards founder Damian Bailey.
Tickets to the national event are available now at a price of £75 (+VAT) from the Wedding Industry Awards website and can be purchased by anyone involved in the wedding industry.
